Debra Holt’s fourth, and final book, The Sheriff and the Cowgirl, in The Tremaynes of Texas series concludes the series with sighs and a smile for a family who has brought warmth, laughter, and heartfelt joy that will be sorely missed.
Gray and Tori’s story has been building throughout the series and hit the perfect crescendo in their journey that took so many twists and turns before the couple finally landed in complete accord in their HEA. The joyful moments that quickly turned to heart wrenching plummets woven throughout the story served to set the stage for the complete and utter happiness that the stories, and series, high note ended on.
My only regret in how the story ended is that I’ll never know who among Thomas, Truitt, and Trey won the final bet they made in the closing moments…perhaps Ms Holt has plans to have that tidbit answered in the future?

Oh I had been waiting for this one having read the earlier books in the series I was really waiting to see how Sheriff Gray Dalton and the Tremayne girls romance would be, would it proceed or fizzle? I was so rooting for Tori and Gray to make it to a forever kind of romance. This is one of those reads that keeps you turning the pages and I highly recommend it to lovers of Western Romance. I was given an advance reader’s copy of this book in exchange for my review.

A perfect ending for the Tremaynes of Texas series. Throughout this series, there was a hint of Tori and Gray’s relationship. But, it really didn’t tell too much of their story; only enough to make me curious. I was so glad to finally read their story and see them get the happy ending they deserved. It sure took some time for them to get there and I started wondering if it would ever happen. This is now my favorite of this series. The author did a fabulous job wrapping it up.
